- Description
- Industry clustering has gained widespread acceptance as a result of the perceived benefits of the ability of firms locating together using their locational proximity and business synergies to improve their performance, and at the same time foster economic development. It has been claimed that through pooling expertise and gaining economies of scale and scope by linking together, firms-especially small firms-may benefit in terms ofjob creation and skills development, and through increasing the competitiveness of participating firms.
